Ming Kee Chicken Rice & Porridge @ Bishan

Queue starts as early as 5:30 pm. I waiting for almost 30 min just only with about 12 person in front of me. As for queuing chicken rice, I find it frustrated queuing for that long. That's unacceptable for me.

The queue gets even more crazy after 6pm. There were at least like 30 over people in the queue. The line went all the way till the start of the coffee shop. I have no idea why these people queue.

This is what I get for my set. Standard chicken rice ($3.50) with vegetable ($3). I didn't get the beansprout which cost $2. If I remember, these used to be cheaper. The chicken was a bit cold but it was okay, above average taste and the vegetable was not very hard. Its quite crunchy compare to others.

What I didn't like :

  • The queue where the servers take their time doing it that causes the jam.
  • The chicken skin has a harden jelly oil (I guess?) sticking on it which I didn't like it. I find it gross.

They have taken out porridge from the menu which seems to be not so popular and more work.

Location : 511 Bishan Street 13.
Signature : The white chicken rice.
Total Damage :~$3.50 + 3

Overall : 3/5. I will not go back again unless the queue is less than 5.
