Tapas Festival - You have 3 choices from the tapas menu. I have chosen the prawns, bit steaks and Mushroom toast. The prawn and bits steak taste great!

Aglio Olio is also not bad. just nice for a person.

The Pork Knuckle was shiok and crispy. Meat is tender too! Definitely recommended!

Canepa & Redford D Merlot (2 for 1) 59 each. Those who do not like the dry taste should avoid ordering Merlot. Canepa was better for me.

What I didn't like :
The location is pretty near to Arab street so its not very accessible if you do not drive there. It took me 20min to walk there on foot from Bugis MRT. Lavendar should be nearer.

Location : 787 North Bridge Road.
Signature : If you are wine lover, you should try this place. The food are not so bad either.
Total Damage :~$189++ The wine promo was included. $110++

Overall : 3/5. I will go back for the ambience and the wine if I have friends who likes drinking wine.

Para Thai @ OneKM

Basil Chicken was quite okay for me except a bit salty, better to have it with white rice.

The pineapple rice was good, strong taste.

Tom Yum soup was not advertised as what they put up on the poster. It wasn't that red. :/ There wasn't any sotong, only more prawns and bits of meats and mushrooms. Mostly the inedible ingredients.. vinegar, lemon grass... etc

Thai Glass Noodles. Quite okay but a bit dry.

What I didn't like :
Overall the portions in Para Thai are quite small. Orders for fragrant or pandan rice takes quite long. There is not many people eating in the restaurant. Prices are also on the high side which I don't find any food that I feel its worth the price.

Location : OneKM, Tanjong Katong Road, 2nd Floor
Signature : Not that I know of, but the pineapple rice is the only one I feel that is alright.
Total Damage :~$80++ for 3 person.

Overall : 2/5. I will go back for the last time as I was given a $20 vouchers for revisiting. That should be just nice to match the value.

Ming Kee Chicken Rice & Porridge @ Bishan

Queue starts as early as 5:30 pm. I waiting for almost 30 min just only with about 12 person in front of me. As for queuing chicken rice, I find it frustrated queuing for that long. That's unacceptable for me.

The queue gets even more crazy after 6pm. There were at least like 30 over people in the queue. The line went all the way till the start of the coffee shop. I have no idea why these people queue.

This is what I get for my set. Standard chicken rice ($3.50) with vegetable ($3). I didn't get the beansprout which cost $2. If I remember, these used to be cheaper. The chicken was a bit cold but it was okay, above average taste and the vegetable was not very hard. Its quite crunchy compare to others.

What I didn't like :

  • The queue where the servers take their time doing it that causes the jam.
  • The chicken skin has a harden jelly oil (I guess?) sticking on it which I didn't like it. I find it gross.

They have taken out porridge from the menu which seems to be not so popular and more work.

Location : 511 Bishan Street 13.
Signature : The white chicken rice.
Total Damage :~$3.50 + 3

Overall : 3/5. I will not go back again unless the queue is less than 5.

Poulet @ Raffles City

Ambience : Noise can get a bit loud during dinner. Best is to come around 6.30pm.

Onion Soup : Taste wise is strong for onion lovers but for me I don't like the bread crumbs.

Halibut En Papillote : Served in a wrapped parchment paper. Small portion but worth to try.

Ginger Lemonade : Not easy to find a good lemonade but this one taste great. Not diluted.
Signature : Poulet Roti with Mushroom Chardonnay Sauce. Great Sauce and tender chicken. Must try for chicken lover!

Total Damage : $50++~
Overall : 4/5. A restaurant I would like to visit again to try other of its Rotisserie menu.

The Tiramisu Hero

Ambience : Still okay. Everything is well litted up and it can get quite busy during lunch time.
Aglio Olio - Quite normal but better than average at least.

Baked Cheesy Chicken - worth the try

Signature : Tiramisu. Well for me it look nice but then not the best tiramisu I had. There is very little or no alcohol taste when I tried.

Additional Special :You can ask the waiter to clean the bottle for you if you want it as a souvenir.

Total Damage :~$50
Overall : I can say its worth the try but not the one you want to come back for it again.
